Serve In the Community

Christian People Go - For the glory of God we share the Gospel, by word and deed, with a world in need of grace and hope. We serve people according to their needs and our abilities, and welcome them into our family of faith.

There are countless ways to serve God and Others. A Christian may have deep doctrinal conviction without service, but no Christian can be vibrant without service to God and others. 

We support and serve at many community organizations, local ministries, and international missions. Here are several with their church contact:

Church Without Walls - An urban ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Florida in downtown Jacksonville. Contact: Angela Atkins

Cuba - Our companion parish is located in the town of La Gloria. We sponsor group visits to assist their efforts to establish a permanent church in Cuba.

Cursillo - Erna Hassell-Dykes

Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD) - We support the ERD, an agency of the Episcopal Church USA, to financially help victims of natural disasters in the United States.

Eucharistic Visitors - Sarah Stanley

Habijax - We team up with other local churches to build and repair homes in our local community. Contact: Jim Meyers

Her Song - Our Saviour has become a partner in this vital program to assist victims of human trafficking in Jacksonville. Contact: Wayne Plummer

Mandarin Food Bank - Donate food or clothing to our neighborhood food bank. Collection bins are located in the church and Great Hall. Contact: Jim Carter

Salvation Army – Bell Ringing - Jakki Penn

Sew Much LoveWe meet every other Friday Morning for fellowship and friendship as we use our sewing skills to make clothing for local girls in need.  We are always looking for new members (of all skill levels!) as well as donations of clothing-grade fabric. Contact: Kerry Baldwin

St. Andrews Episcopal Church - Teams visit and support our companion parish in Interlachen, FL  to assist with special programs like Vacation Bible School, provide backpacks and Christmas gifts for parishioners in need. Contact: Pam Atkins

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church - Jakki Penn

Sulzbacher Center - We provide, prepare, and serve an evening dinner to the men, women, and children at this homeless shelter in downtown Jacksonville. Contact: Jim Carter
